Dave Faeder
David Faeder, Founder, is a founding member and managing partner of Kensington Senior Living, leading the overall strategy and market positioning of Kensington in the senior living industry. He oversees the execution of the financing, development, and operations of all Kensington ventures. Between 1993 and 2003, he served in several positions for Sunrise, including President and Vice Chairman, and led the initial public offering and the company’s growth plan. Prior to joining Sunrise, David was an officer of Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse First Boston focusing on real estate investment banking. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Federal Realty Investment Trust (NYSE:FRT) and a former member of the Old Dominion University Board of Visitors. David is a former licensed CPA in Virginia and received his MBA with Honors from the University of Virginia.
Tiffany Tomasso
Tiffany Tomasso, Founder, joined Kensington Senior Living as a founding member in 2010 to lead the management and operations of all Kensington ventures. Tiffany has over 30 years of experience in the operation and development of senior living communities. During her 17-year tenure with Sunrise, she was part of the executive team that successfully lead Sunrise’s domestic and international expansion. She was honored in 2003 by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America and has served on the Assisted Living Federation Board (ALFA) since 2005. She served as the Chairman of ALFA from 2008-2010. She has an MBA from Widener University and a BA in Business Administration from Stockton State College.
Steve Lampa
Steve Lampa, Founder, joined Kensington Senior Living in 2009 to help direct the management and operations of all Kensington ventures. He has over 40 years of experience in operations, human resources, brand management, and quality assurance in the hospitality industry. As Senior Vice President of Operations for Marriott International, Steve was responsible for all rooms and related product and service development globally, and Marriott’s Lodging Quality Assurance system for North America. Lampa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University.
Tanya Walker
Tanya Walker, Partner, joined Kensington Senior Living in 2012 to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Kensington Park. Tanya has over 25 years of experience in the operations and development of senior living communities. During her 18-year tenure with Sunrise, she opened and managed 10 senior living communities, championed the development of new products, and assisted in the design of Sunrise’s prototype assisted and independent living buildings. She served in a variety of positions including Director of Operations, Director of Product Development and Executive Director. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Health Policy Administration and Gerontology.
Trish Helsley
Trish Helsley, Partner, has been with Kensington Senior Living since its inception. She oversees the management, strategy, and execution of the IT infrastructure across the Kensington portfolio, works closely with the financing and development of all Kensington ventures and manages communication and reporting between Kensington’s senior management team and its closely held investors. Prior to joining Kensington, she served in a variety of roles at Sunrise, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as human resources. Trish holds a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University.
Melanie Fones
Melanie Fones, Partner, joined Kensington Senior Living in 2012. She has over 30 years of experience in joint venture, asset and treasury management, real estate capital transactions, and financial planning and analysis. Prior to joining Kensington, Melanie served in a variety of positions during her 16 years at Sunrise, including Vice President of Asset Management, where she managed joint venture relations for portfolios owning $2 billion in senior living real estate in the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States. Melanie has an MBA from George Mason University, with a BA from the University of Virginia.
Matt Pasowicz
Matt Pasowicz, Partner, joined Kensington Senior Living in 2013 as the Director of Environmental Services to support Kensington’s first acquisition and largest managed asset in Kensington, Maryland. In his 6 years at the community, Matt spearheaded the implementation of over $5 million in mechanical capital improvements with a focus on life safety, building efficiency, and reduced energy consumption. He is a partner with KSL and supports all its communities nationwide from an operations, development, and construction standpoint. Prior to joining Kensington, Matt spent several years in the United States Virgin Islands, working in a property management and engineering role for a $30 million portfolio of luxury villas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Niagara University.
Michael Rafeedie
Michael Rafeedie, Partner, joined Kensington Senior Living in 2016 to source development and acquisition opportunities and financing. Michael is primarily responsible for the development and construction of The Kensington in Reston, Virginia, and a development pipeline consisting of nearly $200 million in total development cost. Prior to joining Kensington, he served in a variety of roles for Lincoln Property Company, and helped lead the entitlement, design, financing, construction, and management of nearly $200 million of real estate development and facilitated nearly $100 million of asset disposition. Michael received his Master of Science and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Accounting from James Madison University.
Brian Hilton
Brian Hilton, Partner, joined Kensington Senior Living in 2019 as the Controller. In this role, Brian has overall responsibility for the controllership and financial reporting activities for the entire Kensington portfolio. Prior to joining Kensington, He served in a variety of roles at large publicly traded organizations, and most recently as Controller of a privately held mid-sized organization. He began his career in public accounting with Grant Thornton and later with PwC, where he served as a Senior Auditor specializing in the consumer and industrial products industry. Brian was a licensed CPA in Virginia and received his Master of Science and his Master of Business Administration degrees from Northeastern University.
